MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver throughout.
STAMPS: Lion Passant on every link, Chester Assay on some of the central curb links, 'SS' & 'R.P' on T-Bar.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition:
VERY GOOD. This 16" antique Sterling Silver chain is in very good condition. The Lion Passant hallmarks have faded over time, but your can still see outline imprint. The Silver is lustrous and has accrued an admirable patina in places adding to her antique charm. The chunky links are robust and securely connected with only minor age-related wear throughout. The dog clip is in perfect working order, providing you with complete peace of mind while wearing this lovely Victorian chain!
